Flvme Shares Visuals For ‘How Long’
Released in the last quarter of 2020, D.O.A (Dead Or Alive) was Flvme’s second project of the previous year. Earlier in the year, he had put out the collaborative album RedLight District with Die Mondez. Now, almost seven months after releasing the EP (D.O.A) he has gone on to share visuals to one of the stand out songs from the project, “How Long”.
It has become common practice for artists to stretch the potential of their projects by releasing multiple singles during the span of time after their initial project release. Even releasing music videos for some of the songs way after the project has come out. Flvme employs this same technique, taking advantage of the new normal where the construct of time is a little warped, by releasing the second visuals from his 2020 EP D.O.A. The first visuals from the project were for “Dead Or Alive Intro” which was released in December, 2020.
The Morale Pablo Phala directed music video was shot by Clout Cassette, and in it we see Flvme initially by his lonesome, and then in transit to link up with some of his people. Affiliate Ecco is one of the people in the entourage Flvme links up with, as they are later seen accosting an unidentified individual. Flvme is then seen taunting said individual with a gun as they proceed to carjack and rob him off his shimmering Audi.
The music video does a good job of illustrating Flvme’s impatience and frustration expressed in the song as he raps, “How long can this shit be? I can’t be on my knees, a nigga got to eat, gotta feed the family, gotta put on for my Gs, I can’t accept the fee… but however long it be, a legend Imma be, that’s word up to my Gs…”
