A$AP Rocky and PUMA Unveil the Mostro 3.D Mule
Building on their ongoing creative partnership, A$AP Rocky and PUMA have officially unveiled their newest collaborative silhouette: the Mostro 3.D Mule.
First debuted on the runway during Rocky’s AWGE NYC showcase in February, this radical silhouette pushes the boundaries of avant-garde footwear by mutating PUMA’s archival 1999 Mostro trainer into an effortless, open-back mule design. The silhouette arrives in two primary colorways – in “Blue Glimmer” and a sleek, stealthy “Black” – both utilizing dynamic touches of coloring that appear to shift under different lighting conditions.
Reimagined entirely through advanced 3D-printing technology, the shoe discards traditional fabric construction in favor of a hyper-futuristic, solid structure that honors the original model’s monster-inspired lineage. The Moster 3.D Mule is defined by its extreme, highly tactile texture, with the exterior upper enveloped in spikes that give the shoe a dramatic, horror-film-like aesthetic. This spiky aesthetic also flows seamlessly down the sides of the foot to form the perimeter of the sole unit. Built to dare wearers to take unconventional styles straight to the streets, the drop is also complemented by custom-designed A$AP Rocky x PUMA socks to complete the look.
