The Best-Dressed Celebrities at the 2026 Met Gala
With the first Monday in May comes one of the biggest nights in fashion, the Met Gala. Celebrities descended on New York to climb the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, fundraising for the museum’s Costume Institute and pursuing that one career-defining photograph.
The event was chaired this year by Nicole Kidman, Beyoncé, Venus Williams and, of course, Anna Wintour, with guests dressing to the theme “Fashion is Art.” The gala was also controversially funded by new honorary chairs Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos.
This year’s exhibition, titled Costume Art, was curated by Andrew Bolton and centers around the role of the dressed body with paintings, sculptures and more in dialogue with both historical and contemporary garments from the Costume Institute.
Ahead, we’ve compiled some of the best looks and interpretations from the night, from Rihanna to Emma Chamberlain.
