AMIRI Becomes FC Barcelona’s Official Formalwear Partner
AMIRI has just been announced as FC Barcelona’s formalwear partner, designing custom, Hollywood-inspired pre-match looks for the European giant’s men’s and women’s teams. The first looks of the collaboration add a touch of old Los Angeles cool to the Catalonian club, drawing on the timeless style of the city’s golden era of film stars for a five-star collection.
Pinstripe suits and pitch-perfect tailoring are on the menu for AMIRI’s first Barça lookbook. The wool overcoats and slightly flared trousers create a glamorous silhouette, merging 125 years of Barcelona history with the classic codes of the modern luxury fashion house. Navy blue and burgundy, the signature “blaugrana” colors the club has been playing in since the beginning, make up the diagonal stripes of the tie. Golden details come in the shape of the AMIRI logo on tie clips and decorative pins. The finishing touch is a patch on the sleeve, embroidered with the words “Tailored garments designed for FC Barcelona.”
The news comes after Louis Vuitton became the fashion partner of Barça’s bitter rivals Real Madrid, adding an extra, fashionable layer to future Clásicos. With brands capitalizing on football’s style renaissance, from AC Milan and Off-White to Lucy Bronze teaming up with ALIGNE, every club is scrambling for fresh, new fashion partners to dress them on Champions League nights. Now AMIRI is making sure that some of the best players in the world look their best so they can play their best, and this partnership already seems like a match made in fashion heaven.
