The Louis Vuitton Monogram Sports Collection Channels the Inner Athlete
Louis Vuitton is bringing luxury to the athletic world with the global relaunch of its exclusive Monogram Sports Collection of small leather goods. Initially a summer favorite, the line has returned with new, exclusive designs available starting this month. An early pre-launch in South Korean stores occurred last month.
This coveted collection transforms classic accessories—including wallets, card holders, and passport covers—into miniature sporting landscapes. The iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram appears as a clever, tone-on-tone pattern, designed to resemble various athletic arenas viewed from a bird’s-eye perspective.
The line introduces new worlds to explore, notably featuring a vibrant deep blue outdoor basketball court and a striking pink sunset-lit skate park. These new additions join existing, imaginative designs that illustrate a serene swimming pool, a clay tennis court, a golfing green and snow-dusted ski slopes. In each tiny scene, the familiar flower motifs and LV initialisms are cleverly rendered as expansive shadows, giving the illusion of a pattern cast over the ground.
The collection effortlessly fuses luxury and leisure, with Louis Vuitton hinting at continuous expansion to illustrate nearly endless sporting possibilities. Take a closer look at the accessories collection.
