A$AP Rocky x PUMA Look to Harlem and Jazz as the Inspiration behind their Latest and Largest Collection

Two of Rocky’s favourite PUMA sneakers – Inhale and Mostro OG – return alongside a bold new style and new personal Flacko favourite: Mostro Gabbia, built with a removable cage. All the sneaker silhouettes received an animal-inspired upgrade inspired by the spirit of Jazz music in Harlem. The Mostro Gabbia draws its name from the Italian words Caged Monster and channels the spirit of the PUMA archive through a lens of modern tech, layered with evolved armour. Described as “a creature of design” it’s built to shield, adapt and transform with every step.

“One of the earliest samples we built was the Mostro Gabbia in snake leather, and it immediately stood out,” said A$AP Rocky.

It had this sense of refinement and forward-thinking design. It was a direct nod to the wild spirit of “jungle jazz” and the Cotton Club. From that point on, it became my favourite piece in the collection. There was something about the way it fused luxurious materials with sharp, technical construction that made it feel like more than just a shoe – it set the tone for everything else we created. It opened a new way of thinking about how to blend elegance, innovation, and a spirit of pushing boundaries across the whole collection.”
