Netflix Drops ‘Starting 5’ Season 2 Official Trailer Giving Unfiltered Access to KD, Harden, SGA and More
The intimate NBA docuseries, Starting 5, is back for its second season on Netflix, returning with an entirely new lineup of superstars. The show, which trades court-side drama for a deeper look into the modern athlete’s life, is set to premiere on ahead of the upcoming NBA season on October 16, 2025. There are eight 45-minute episodes for Season 2.
The new eight-episode season features a powerhouse roster of five NBA talents: Kevin Durant, Jaylen Brown, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Haliburton and James Harden. The trailer reveals a season that focuses on defining moments of the 2024-2025 campaign, including heart-wrenching injuries, major trades, and a Finals series for the ages. Each episode profiles an athlete’s path to resilience, balancing game-day intensity with off-court identity.
Produced by LeBron James’s UNINTERRUPTED, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and Higher Ground Productions (founded by Barack and Michelle Obama), the series continues its ethos of athlete-driven storytelling. The new season arrives at the perfect moment, just as the NBA season tips off, and promises another unfiltered look at life at the pinnacle of professional basketball.
