The A$AP Rocky x Moncler Genius Collaboration Is Finally Here
Following his appointment as Ray-Ban‘s first-ever Creative Director, A$AP Rocky expands his vision into the world of luxury outerwear with the release of his Moncler Genius collection. Originally unveiled at Moncler’s 2024 City of Genius event, Rocky debuted the collection in his curated space, centered on the theme of “Where retro ski meets future sound.”
The multi-hyphenate artist, who also helms his own creative platform AWGE, has brought his rebellious and street-infused aesthetic to Moncler’s luxury performance wear. The collaboration campaign, photographed by Charlotte Rutherford, sharpens the focus on the lustrous outdoor fabrics and high-saturation colors, primed to combat the winter blues. Drawing inspiration from the label’s vintage ski apparel, the collection presents its “urban protective uniform” with a bold, color-block palette of lava red, electric indigo, and bright emerald, contrasted against classic black and white.
Standout styles include a trompe l’oeil puffer t-shirt and the Bahianinha short down jacket, which features 3D geometric quilting. Throughout the collection, bold graphics such as Rocky’s forthcoming LP title Don’t Be Dumb appear emblazoned in block letters, and prominent AWGE and Moncler logos are intermixed in various placements. Double waistlines, evoking boxers, pay homage to the rapper’s signature street style, while a puffer-fied long-sleeve polo shirt further the street-ski fusion.
The A$AP Rocky x Moncler Genius collection is available now in select Moncler stores and on moncler.com.
