Yoon Ahn and AMBUSH Just Dropped Heeled UGG Boots
Yoon Ahn just announced a new collaboration with UGG, building on the duo’s first team-up earlier this year. Last time, the Tokyo-based label AMBUSH reimagined UGG’s new Mary Jane silhouette, alongside the debut of a hybrid Penny Loafer. Now, the new collaboration comprises five core pieces, including a sheepskin-covered heel and two styles of men’s boots.
Taking inspiration from Tokyo’s streetwear aesthetic, the new collaboration leans into Ahn’s penchant for nostalgia and almost feels a little Y2K-inspired. Building on that inspiration, the campaign features Japanese rapper, singer and songwriter Yuki Chiba, and takes place in a local bowling alley.
I wanted to draw inspiration from our city of Tokyo. The boots and shoes I often saw when I first moved to Shibuya have always stuck with me, so this is my love letter to the neighborhood,” AMBUSH’s co-founder Yoon Ahn explains in a press release.
The new collection features the UGG AMBUSH Heel, UGG AMBUSH Woven Boot and UGG AMBUSH Boot, in hues of “natural,” “chestnut,” and brown and are crafted from a mixture of full-grain leather, sheepskin and nubuck.
Take a look at the new silhouettes above and head to the UGG or AMBUSH website on September 12 to purchase.
