Netflix Debuts ‘One Piece’ Season Two First Look, Announces Early Season Three Renewal
Netflix has shared a first look at the highly-anticipated second season of its One Piece live-action adaptation.
Revealed at the annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo, Japan, the teaser previews the introduction of the characters such as Laboon, Smoker and Nico Robin/Miss All Sunday, as well as new locations and the big fights that can be expected. The streamer also confirmed that the upcoming season — dubbed One Piece: Into the Grand Line — will premiere in 2026. Its logline reads:
“Netflix’s epic high-seas pirate adventure, ONE PIECE, returns for Season 2—unleashing fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”
In addition to the first look and release window, One Piece was officially given an early Season 3 renewal. Production is set to begin in Cape Town, South Africa later this year, with Ian Stokes set to join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner.
Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson and Taz Skylar are all set to reprise their roles as Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp and Sanji.
