G-STAR CELEBRATES DENIM AND CULTURE AT 44 STANLEY POP-UP LAUNCH
G-Star officially launched its new pop-up showroom at 44 Stanley last night, welcoming a dynamic crowd of media, influencers, and local tastemakers into the creative denim space.
Set against the industrial charm of Milpark’s 44 Stanley, the evening offered an intimate glimpse into the world of G-Star, where craftsmanship meets culture. Guests were treated to a live style showcase featuring models styled in standout pieces from the pop-up collection, offering a glimpse of what denim lovers can discover inside the space.
Bringing the vibe were two of Joburg’s most distinctive culture shapers: Lelowhatsgood and Wanda Lephoto. Known for his boundary-pushing work as a cultural curator and DJ, Lelo set the tone with his signature blend of genre-defying sound. Wanda, a fashion designer and multi-disciplinary artist, brought a soulful, considered energy to the decks perfectly complementing the mood and aesthetic of the evening.
The launch drew in some of G-Star’s closest friends and collaborators, including Trevor Stuurman, Nduduzo Makhathini, J’Something, LootLove, Lisa Madibe, and more. Their presence echoed the brand’s commitment to creative community, authenticity, and self-expression.
Guests also enjoyed premium cocktails and refreshments courtesy of Johnnie Walker, the official drinks partner for the evening.
Driving the brand’s local vision is Wedaad Lima, Marketing Manager at G-Star South Africa, who continues to play a key role in connecting the brand to cultural communities and growing its presence in meaningful ways.
The G-Star pop-up showroom, which will remain open until early September is more than just a retail space. It’s a relaxed, low-pressure environment for stylists, creators, and denim enthusiasts to engage with the brand, try on signature pieces, and access product for content creation, shoots or inspiration.
Visit the G-Star pop-up showroom now open at 44 Stanley Avenue, Milpark, Johannesburg.
