FENTY and PUMA have just unveiled their latest collaboration, drawing inspiration from the whimsical world of the Smurfs. The collection celebrates Rihanna’s upcoming role as Smurfette in the new Smurfs film, set to release on July 18 — blending her fashion-forward sensibilities with the beloved blue universe. The result is a playful yet stylish capsule that brings animated nostalgia to the world of streetwear.
The capsule includes six new apparel items — two of which are matching sets — that blend streetwear aesthetics with animated nostalgia. A standout from the collection is the knit sweater, featuring Smurfette’s iconic mushroom-shaped house front and center. Rendered in a relaxed silhouette, the sweater fuses whimsical graphics with modern streetwear appeal. It’s paired with knitted sweatpants in the same mustard yellow base, accented by pastel pink and blue details for a cohesive and colorful look.
No Fenty x PUMA launch is complete without a standout sneaker and this drop delivers with the Avanti reimagined in a “Slate Sky” colorway. The sneaker features a powder blue denim upper with darker denim overlays that runs along the sides and heel. A bold red jaguar logo with white polka dots — reminiscent of a mushroom — is stamped on the heel tab, framed by white embroidered stitching. A fold-over tongue showcases the FENTY x PUMA logo, while a gold embroidered FENTY emblem sits subtly below. Each pair includes a detachable silver Smurfette charm — a collectible touch that ties the entire theme together. The sneakers arrive in a custom box styled after Smurfette’s mushroom home, complete with Smurf-themed tissue wrap showcasing their Parisian escapade.
