Netflix Reveals Release Dates for ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5

Netflix has officially revealed the release plan and a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The epic conclusion to the beloved series will be split into three distinct volumes, rolling out over late November and December 2025.

The new teaser, unveiled during Netflix’s Tudum 2025 event, offers brief glimpses into the final battle. It shows a mix of highlights from previous seasons and new clips teasing intense confrontations in the Upside Down. Familiar cast members like Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, and Noah Schnapp are seen preparing for the ultimate showdown.

The story is set in the fall of 1987, roughly 18 months after Season 4. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and the heroes are united by a single goal: to find and defeat Vecna, who has vanished. The government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her into hiding. All central cast members are set to return, including David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink, and Maya Hawke. Jamie Campbell Bower will reprise his role as Vecna, and Linda Hamilton is joining the ensemble in an undisclosed role.

The three part release schedule sees Volume 1 arrive on the streamer on November 26, 2025, Volume 2 on December 25, 2025 and the Finale on New Years Eve.
