Louis Vuitton Unveils “New Formal” FW25 Tailoring Capsule
Louis Vuitton has introduced its New Formal FW25 menswear pre-collection, a capsule of contemporary tailoring with touches of Pharrell‘s sport/lifestyle concepts and expressive eveningwear. With outstanding craft details, the capsule serves up top-notch materials in a range of luxurious weights and weaves.
The lookbook begins with a lineup of business attire that adds a sharp edge to traditional office looks. First, a deep blue pinstripe suit is scattered with disparate remnants of Louis Vuitton’s signature pattern, after, a charcoal suit is interwoven with the Maison’s signature Damier pattern and embroidered LV monograms.
Elegant outerwear and handbags are made for the modern LV man’s commute and luxurious athleisure numbers reflect his flexible lifestyle. An embossed black padded vest and a long plaid zip coat with a checkered collar are joined by blousons embellished with leather details and lustrous metallic hardware. Standing out is a wool tracksuit covered in a navy check and completed with an LV monogram at the breast. The look is styled with a pared-back solid navy leather handbag and black Oxford shoes.

Eveningwear is where the collection shines, literally. Several black pieces are embellished with dazzling sequins including a chevron blouson, a knitted sweater, and a checked collarless jacket completed by a collared shirt and a black pussybow. Elsewhere, double-breasted jackets are cut into sharp, cropped silhouettes and pleated trousers are made with a slight flare at the ankle. One of the stand-out occasion numbers is made in a jacquard pinstriped orange fabric, a signature hue from the French label.
