Dr. Martens Taps Awake NY for a Lowell Shoe Collaboration
Dr. Martens and New York streetwear brand Awake NY came together for their first collaboration, combining timeless craftsmanship with the vibrant energy of NYC subcultures. This partnership introduces a fresh take on the Lowell silhouette. The collection draws inspiration from New York’s rich traditions of the Cumbia music scene.
At the heart of the collaboration is the Lowell shoe, reimagined with bold materials and striking design details. The silhouette features Hair-On leather in vivid shades of green or peony navy, paired with a contrasting black oiled leather backstrap embossed with the Awake NY logo. The tonal stitching on the moc-toe vamp and quarter is complemented by gold star eyelets, creating a refined yet edgy aesthetic. For added comfort and durability, the shoe includes a padded collar and a rugged smoke BEN outsole, finished with Dr. Martens’ signature yellow welt stitch. To further personalize the look, each pair comes with three sets of colorful laces.
