Marni and G-Shock Release Playful Watch Collaboration
Marni and G-Shock have joined forces for a collaborative wristwatch that boasts the watch brand’s technical prowess with a bold touch from the contemporary Italian fashion label.
The new GMD-S5610MA-7ER wristwatch adds Marni’s artistic flare to the beloved G-Shock silhouette, completely covering the exterior in a handwritten Marni word mark repeating endlessly in variations of black and red, against a titanium white backdrop. The hypnotic pattern appears everywhere from the strap, to the watchcase, and even covers the special-edition packaging.
The shock-resistant and water-resistant watch makes no technical sacrifices boasting a three-year battery life, an innovative bio-based resin composition, a protective mineral glass on the face, and a Super Illuminator LED backlight to provide visibility in dim conditions.
The watch, measuring 45.7 x 40.5 x 11.9 mm, also has a number of functional capabilities including a multi-function alarm, a fully automatic calendar, a countdown timer with a flash alert, and an hourly time signal.
The MARNI × G-SHOCK GMD-S5610MA-7ER will be available starting November 6, exclusively at Marni’s web store and in select Marni locations. Those eager to get their hands on the watch can submit pre-orders starting October 31.
