NBA star LaMelo Ball unveils MB.04 basketball sneaker
LaMelo Ball and PUMA Hoops are back with the MB.04, the fourth chapter in Ball’s signature line. This performance masterpiece features a light blue base with bold silver overlays, embodying a futuristic, otherworldly aesthetic. The durable TPU structure is as tough as Melo himself, making it perfect for on-court dominance.
Jeremy Sallee, Head of Design for PUMA Hoops, explains, “The details and Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the shoe are my favorite attributes.” The MB.04 incorporates LaMelo’s personal branding for a fierce touch and eye-catching appearance. Complementing the MB.04 is the LaFrancé 1:1, dipped in an all-over baby blue hue. This Y2K-inspired sneaker exudes a playful, retro vibe with its exaggerated lines and vibrant color scheme.
Both shoes embody the “Be Melo” concept. As Sallee notes, “The kids love Melo and a lot of them want to be just like him. It’s basically the idea of symbiosis.” Launching on September 12, the collection will be available at PUMA’s official website, flagship store and selected retailers.
