Fenty x PUMA Returns With New Avanti Colorways
Fenty and PUMA have had quite the comeback, teaming up after a long hiatus to reveal the new Avanti sneaker. First launched in a dazzling metallic silver, Rihanna and the footwear label have returned to release two new colorways slated for release next month.
While the Avanti may be new to the Fenty repertoire, it was actually introduced by PUMA back in 2001, drawing inspiration from 1980s footballers like Eusebio, Pelé and Maradona. Speaking about the decision to revive the silhouette in the past, Rihanna explained,
I wanted to bring something iconic from the archives to the street, and the late great Pelé made the Avanti shoe so iconic.”
Now, the collaborative silhouette has returned in a bright emerald and rich navy blue. In line with the previous release, PUMA x Fenty’s Avanti features premium leather uppers with debossed FENTY branding alongside white and brown gum soles.
