The Nike Cortez Prepares for “Hangul Day”
Nike is celebrating “Hangul Day” with the latest Nike Cortez. Previously, the Dunk Low, Air Force 1 Low and Air Max 1 welcomed designs dedicated to the holiday and now, the Cortez is receiving special treatment.
Hangul Day, also known as Korean Alphabet Day, celebrates the creation and founding of the Korean Alphabet. The commemorative colorway paints the Cortez’s leather and suede upper in a rich chocolate hue. Meanwhile, a soft off-white shade touches the Swooshes, tongue, lining and sole unit. Nike branding sits on the tongue tab with the heels boasting a “Hangul Day” motif. The entire silhouette is decked out as the sockliners also feature graphics, honoring the linguistic holiday.
The Nike Cortez “Hangul Day” is expected to hit shelves in Asia via Nike and select retailers this October. A global release will arriving afterwards. Take a look in the gallery above.
