Kendall Jenner Fronts Stella McCartney’s Equestrian-Inspired Winter 2023 Campaign
Stella McCartney and Kendall Jenner are uniting through their love of horses, as the model stars in Stella’s Winter 2023 campaign.
Shot by renowned photographer Harley Weir, Jenner is captured amidst the famed white ponies of France’s Camargue Salt Flats. An extension of the brand’s FW23 showcase in Paris, horse whisperer and rescuer Jean-Francois Pignon returns to ensure the safety and wellbeing of McCartney’s favorite animal.
“I knew this season’s Stella girl had to love horses as much as I do. Kendall has been riding since she was a kid, just like me, and has her own ranch; you can see how at ease she is around these sensitive creatures, and them with her. Capturing this connection brings Horse Power to life, both through the fashion and the vision,” explains McCartney in a press release.
Tapping into the duo’s shared, lifelong love of horses, the campaign aims to once again celebrate the equestrian essence of the Winter 2023 collection, showcased through Appaloosa jacquard prints, bridle-inspired rope details and quilting reminiscent of classic horse blankets.
The Winter 2023 collection continues the brand’s longstanding ethos of responsible design, crafted from 92% conscious materials and debuting vegan crocodile-effect bags crafted from apple waste, alongside riding boots made using grape waste. Accessories feature fungi mycelium and MIRIUM — cruelty-free alternatives to animal leather which are made using plants as opposed to plastic.
