Ralph Lauren Celebrates Its Origins With “Polo Originals” Curation
55 years in business, Ralph Lauren is reflecting on its stylistic impact for Fall 2022, with a curated assortment of menswear referencing its uniquely American roots. Dubbed “Polo Originals,” the offering lets its heritage speak for itself, honoring the brand’s penchant for spirited sportsmanship, British tailoring and timeless iconography through a bevy of staple ensembles.
Among the range, standouts include Fair Isle wool sweaters inspired by Shetland Islands’ fishermen, trench coats crafted from British Millerain oilcloth in Italy and signature sets constructed from custom Shetland tweed via Abraham Moon & Sons. Silhouettes entrenched in stories are made modern with sleek revitalizations, and labels don co-branding, toasting to the work of historical mills, craftsmen and their signature textiles. Above all, the collection nods to the classics.
The Fall campaign, captured by renowned photographer and longtime RL collaborator Richard Phibbs, spotlights this season’s items on authentic characters, including a Notting Hill tailor and the University of St. Andrews Rugby Football Club.
Polo Originals arrives as part of Polo Ralph Lauren Men’s Fall 2022 collection and is now available for purchase globally, both in stores and on the brand’s website. Explore the full curation in the gallery above.
