Kunichi Nomura and Carhartt WIP Deliver All-Day Workwear Suits
Following its collaboration with Small Talk, Carhartt WIP has now announced a collaboration with the multi-hyphenate Kunichi Nomura, introducing a capsule consisting of various workwear suits made for the “work day” and “date night.” Nomura is best known as a writer, actor, director, and DJ who made cameo appearances in classic films such as Sofia Coppola‘s Lost in Translation as well as Wes Anderson‘s Isle of Dogs, and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Nomura penned the book, Sputnik: Whole Life Catalogue, a collection of interviews with 86 artists from all over the world, and once purchased a red double-decker bus in 2004, embarking on a journey with a troupe of photographers, skateboarders, artists, and others.
The upcoming assortment of workwear suiting arrives in a variety of relaxed fits and collar finishes, featuring Carhartt’s classic workwear patch across the heart and pin attachments on the chest. Styling the lookbook are some of Nomura’s friends including Madsaki and Verdy.
