Y-3 Unveils FW22 Collection Chapter Four “Memories of Exotics”
Y-3, the creative brainchild of adidas and Yohji Yamamoto has released its fourth and final chapter of its Fall/Winter 2022 collection.
Centered on themes of collective memory and exotic motifs, “Memories of Exotics,” draws on the Japanese designer’s contagious fearlessness and merges historic iconography with exciting animal prints for an entirely new aesthetic.
Delivering quintessentially avant-garde footwear, the Y-3 Terrex Swift R3 GTX, the Y-3 Ultraboost 22, the Y-3 Runner 4D, the Y-3 QASA and the Y-3 Makura are reimagined in season-appropriate earthy hues. The remainder of the collaborative collection arrives in a muted palette with liberal doses of leopard prints. Mesh iterations of the animal pattern cover a workwear-inspired dress, creating a gritty, yet girly look. Elsewhere, exaggerated puffer coats ensure ultimate warmth and comfort as the line is ripe with functional details and sporting silhouettes.
