Vans Releases the Authentic 44 Deck DX in Three OG Colorways
Vans Anaheim Factory is a designation of Vans design that pays homage to the original vulcanized footwear that the brand produced out of its Anaheim, California factory and storefront. Season over season, Vans designers reinterpret archived prints grounded atop vintage design details with modern upgrades in comfort. To expand the ever-evolving Anaheim Factory product assortment, three new colorways are now available to shop on Vans.com and select Vans retail stores.
The latest addition to the Anaheim Factory collection arrives as a three-piece selection of the brand’s most iconic silhouette – the one that started it all – the Authentic 44 Deck DX. Inspired by Vans’ rich history of designing various types of boat shoes from 1966 up until the mid-1990’s, the low-top, lace-up style borrows details from the original Style #44 while offering modernized comfort with an upgraded Ortholight® sock liner. Throwback elements include the original style number, higher glossed foxing tape, original drill lining weight, and cotton laces. The blue bottom sole has thin rubber slits that are useful for providing traction in wet conditions referencing a design purpose from a time when the deck shoe was just a boat shoe. The Authentic 44 Deck DX will be available in three colorways including: Red, White and a special Navy Anchors print that is inspired by a custom fabric once used by Vans in the early 1970s.
The Vans Anaheim Factory Authentic 44 Deck DX assortment is now available at select Vans retail locations and Vans.co.za.
