Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to Create Haunted Houses Inspired by The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ Album
If you’ve wondered what it would feel like to step into The Weeknd‘s insanely dark and eerie world, then you’re going to want to thank Universal Studios for its forthcoming initiative. With the celebrations of Halloween being just a few months away, the popular theme park is connecting with the global phenomenon to morph its traditional Halloween Horror Nights into a spooky experience that’s based on the pop crooner’s After Hours album.
“This is an unprecedented haunted house that is going to shatter the expectations of our guests and immerse them in an unforgettable experience that is equally unexpected and terrifying,” said Charles Gray, Senior Show Director for Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort. Guests who dare to step foot into the experience can expect to endure creepy encounters with the likes of slashers, bandaged maniacs, ghastly toad-like creatures and other unfathomable horrors inspired by the album’s short films and music videos.
When asked about creating the unique haunted house experience, The Weeknd stated, “I always wanted my own Halloween Horror Nights haunted house as Halloween has always been significant to my music, so this is a total dream come to life. I feel like my music videos have served as a launching pad for a collaboration like this, and I cannot wait for people to experience this madness!”
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood commences on Thursday, September 8, and all tickets to the terrifying event are now on sale here.
