Teddy Santis Broadens His Made In USA Range With This New Balance 990v3 “Scarlet”
As New Balance’s MADE in USA line continues to roll out piece by piece under the watchful eye of Teddy Santis, it’s beginning to ramp up the colour – focusing more on bright and bold tones than the neutral shades that were ubiquitous across its first handful of drops. Now, shortly after a purple-hued 990v3 ‘Raw Amythest’ was released both the 990v3 and 990v2 are getting rich red makeovers.
The 990v3 is the more classicly collegiate of the two, dropping in a ‘Scarlet/Marblehead’ colourway that mixes rich red suede and dark mesh with signature grey accents and two-tone ENCAP midsoles for comfort. Meanwhile, the 990v2 offers a more funky look with its ‘Chrysanthemum/Navy’ hues, combining two shades of red suede with hits of navy mesh and suede. Cream, seemingly Santis’ favourite tone, appears on the ABZORB midsole. Each pair also boasts MADE in USA hits on the tongue, heel and insole.
Look for the New Balance 990v3 MADE in USA ‘Scarlet/Marblehead’ and the 990v2 MADE in USA ‘Chrysanthemum/Navy’ to touch down on the New Balance webstore come July 28.
