Joey Bada$$ Delivers First Studio Album in Five Years, ‘2000’
Joey Bada$$ has dropped off his latest album, 2000.
Clocking in at just a little over 50 minutes, the 14-track record — which experienced some delay — features guest appearances from Diddy, Westside Gunn, Larry June, Chris Brown, Capella Grey and J.I.D., and is billed as the followup to his celebrated mixtape 1999, which dropped in June 2012, and is his first studio album since April 2017’s All-Amerikkkan Badass. “The album title serves as a reminder for the world that time is a concept and it’s really just been one long year since Joey and Pro Era exploded onto the scene in 2012,” a press release reads.
The NYC rapper is currently in the midst of his 1999 2000 summer North American tour with Capella Grey, and will spend the rest of July hitting up San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego and Santa Ana before closing it out in Los Angeles.
