Manchester United’s 2022/23 Away Jersey Is a Blend of the Old and the New
Manchester United and adidas are rolling out the next jersey from their ever-growing sportswear partnership. Following the vintage-inspired home jersey that was released earlier this month, adidas Football is now presenting United’s new away jersey ahead of the 2022/23 season.
United’s new away strip is a blend of the old and the new as the Red Devils look to create a modernized look that pays homage to the rich history of the club. Coming in a white design — the first in this color since the 2015/16 season — two-tone black and red Three Stripe detailing is featured across the shoulders. For the finer details, a newly-introduced helix pattern has been integrated into the fabric of the jersey. The ’90s-styled pattern symbolizes United’s DNA and the identity that comes with being a Red. Rounding off the design, an engineered collar and sleeve cuffs have been introduced, reminiscent of United’s 1998/99 away jersey.
For the technical details, the jersey is made from 100% recycled materials and features adidas’ latest temperature regulation technology “HEAT.RDY – KEEP COOL.” Designed to keep players feeling cool and dry on the field, the technology also optimizes sweat distribution and increases the overall airflow going into the shirt.
You can have a closer look at the Manchester United away jersey for the 2022/23 season above and it is available now on the official adidas website and United webstore.
