Nina Chanel Abney’s Jordan Apparel Is a Literal Masterpiece
Joining her recently revealed Air Jordan 2 collaboration, Nina Chanel Abney brings signature geometric art style to a co-branded Jumpman apparel collection.
Hoodies, half-zip pullovers, baseball jerseys, t-shirts, sports bras and nylon separates make up the unisex offering. The hoodies are a standout, featuring Abney’s reinterpretation of the iconic photograph of Michael Jordan clutching the Larry O’Brian Championship Trophy in 1991. Naturally, the year is incorporated into the piece, covering the reverse.
Jordan Brand describes the partnership in a blurb on the collection’s landing page.
Honoring the wide-reaching influence of hoops culture, our collab with Illinois-born and New York-based artist Nina Chanel Abney redefines classic off-court style. Her graphics feature vibrant colors and angular lines on versatile, highly wearable designs. Celebrate the universality of basketball—and the thrill of being 100% in your game.
The Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan apparel collection releases alongside her collaborative AJ2s on July 8 via Nike.
