Denim Tears Debuts Rhinestone Collection at Dover Street Market
Tremaine Emory has revealed an exclusive new capsule from his Denim Tears line, crafting a range of pieces with rhinestone detailing. The nine piece collection further develops the brand’s American influence, as well as revisiting some of signature Denim Tears pieces from the past.
A stand-out release is the Denim Tears x Levi’s 501, which returns with its all over Cotton Wreath print. For this capsule – which sees the jeans finished in indigo, white, raw and black denim washes – Denim Tears has hand-applied roughly 300 rhinestones to each pair of jeans. This embellishment continues onto a half-zip pullover sweatshirt, a zip-up hoodie, thermal top and a cap.
Celebrating the collection’s release at Dover Street Market, the capsule also features a Denim Tears-printed T-shirt. The tee is then finished with a Dover Street Market stamp on the reverse, as a nod to the first time Denim Tears’ mainline collections have been available elsewhere.
The collection is due to release via the Dover Street Market web store and physical locations on June 28. Future Denim Tears releases will also be available from Dover Street Market, with concessions designed by Perron-Roettinger.
