Air Jordan 6 “Red Oreo” Receives Official Release Date
Remixed models have made up a decent chunk of Jordan Brand’s release slate over the past few months. We’ve seen styles like the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Black’ (a spin on the ‘Military Blue’) and the Air Jordan 11 Low ’72-10′ (a chopped-down iteration of the original ’72-10′), and now the Jumpman have given us the Air Jordan 6 ‘Red Oreo.’ Borrowing the colourblocking scheme of Jumpman classics like the Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’ and adding familiar ‘Oreo’ detailing, the ‘Red Oreo’ is a tasy blend of old and new. Now, ahead of its June release, official images have been revealed.
Though its moniker may indicate a heavy dose of red, the majority of the ‘Red Oreo’ is actually built of white leather. Its red accents are spread across the midsole, heel tab, branded hits and lace toggle, and in all of those locations they’re contrasted by white speckling. On the lower half, two-tone outsoles that blend icy blue with black add a gigantic red Jumpman logo to complete the look.
The Air Jordan 6 “Red Oreo” is expected to release on June 25 at select retailers and on Nike
