Nike Have Reversed the ‘UNC’ Dunk Low
The ‘University Blue’ tone dominated the sneakersphere in 2021! Jordan Brand added the theme to an Air Jordan 1 High, Low and Air Jordan 4 while Nike dressed the Dunk Low and High in the scheme. Also known as the ‘UNC’ colourway, after the University of North Carolina, it’s an iconic hue within the Swoosh arsenal.

While the two-tone University Blue/White combo wasn’t one of the OG ‘Be True to Your School’ colourways, it exudes an 80s feel. Following last year’s release, Nike have now chosen to do a colourway flip and it’s been given the moniker: the ‘Reverse UNC’. Just like its predecessor, this pair opts for a full leather upper with usual Dunk details such as perforated toe-box and synthetic tongue. The colourway flip sees ‘University Blue’ underlays with white overlays, laces, Swoosh and midsole.
This won’t be the first time that Nike has flipped it and reversed it on a Dunk Low! Earlier this year they debuted a reversed version of the familiar ‘Kentucky’ colourway and in 2021 offered an inverse option of the ‘University Red’.

The women’s-sized Nike Dunk Low ‘Reverse UNC’ is sure to be a hit! No concrete release date has been announced just yet but with the official imagery surfacing, it won’t be too far away.
