The Nike Air Max CB 94 “Suns” Receives a Release Date
Originally released in 1994, Charles Barkley’s Nike Air Max2 CB 94 is returning to all its former glory in ‘22, the cult favourite set to spring off the bench in a Phoenix Suns colourway. Previously appearing in its iconic ‘USA’ colourway in September 2021 (paying homage to the Dream Team of 1994), fans have been patiently waiting for the Phoenix Suns remix, the upcoming release composed in ‘White’, ‘Varsity Purple’, ‘Black’ and ‘Total Orange’.
A nostalgic drop for 1990s hoop-heads, Sir Charles’ model appears in breathable nubuck upper punctured by polka-dot-like holes. Originally inspired by a straitjacket (an allusion to Barkley’s belligerent play style), the Air Max2 CB 94 of course features Nike’s patented Air Max unit down below. This time, with a visible bubble around the heel unit. Finally, Charles Barkley’s number 34 is embroidered on the lateral heels.
With the Phoenix Suns once again scorching hot in NBA season 2021-22, there’s no better time to adopt the purple, orange and black palette.
