Zara Teams Up With Rhuigi Villaseñor of RHUDE for Latest Collab
Zara continues to highlight exciting brands in the fashion space, following up on its releases with Good American and ADERERROR with a new team-up with Rhuigi Villaseñor of RHUDE.

Titled “RHU” — short for “Redesigning Human Uniform” — the line breaks boundaries in menswear, fusing sportswear, luxury and streetwear together, as described in a press release. “I’ve always felt a strong affinity for creating well-made products that are not defined by price,” Villaseñor explained the reasoning behind partnering with Zara.
“The successor of athleisure is going to be a style of dressing where all the existing genres are broken down and mixed to shape something much more eclectically individual. This ‘RHU’ collection is my expression of that — of open-source, democratic sportswear.” He continued: “‘Redesigning Human Uniform’ is about evolving towards a new inclusive expression of sportswear that’s inspired by spirit and is accessible to all. And I can’t think of a better company to have partnered with in building this project than Zara.”

Straying away from focusing on performance as the key element of sportswear, Villaseñor took inspiration from Ivy League for the new collection, incorporating Americana styles into denim pieces, varsity jackets, track pants and more. Spanning 57 styles, the apparel range is highlighted with bold abstract prints on short-sleeved tees and trousers, in addition to “RHU”-branded tracksuits and tees. In footwear, the duo designed six silhouettes, including tech-inspired sneakers and white slip-ons. Rounding out the collection are six bags.
