Stone Island Showcases Its Innovative Off-Dye OVD Process With New Capsule
Stone Island has continued the roll out of its Spring/Summer 2022 collection with the launch of a new Cotton Ripstop OFF-DYE OVD capsule. Comprising outerwear and knitwear pieces constructed from cotton or military-grade cotton ripstop, the new drop takes its name from the processes used for each item.
All of the jackets are finished with a reactive dyeing and resin coating cycle, with dried garments treated with corrosive resins to remove part of the color. This process gives every item a unique finish, before it is over-dyed, washed and dried.
Military-specification cotton ripstop is used on anoraks and overshirts, which feature technical details such as a split hood — that can be packed away in two individual halves — and bellow hand pockets. Elsewhere, the capsule features a hooded sweatshirt in cotton fleece, a vest made from run-proof cotton mesh and crewnecks in cotton fleece or pure cotton. All of the items sport a Stone Island badge on the left sleeve, which has also received the OFF-DYE OVD treatment.
The full OFF-DYE OVD capsule from Stone Island is available now from the label’s web store.
