Bella Hadid, Jourdan Dunn and More Front Burberry’s Lola Bag Campaign
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the horse girl aesthetic is here to stay.
And thank god it is, because, for Burberry’s latest campaign, the label tapped Bella Hadid, Lourdes Leon, Jourdan Dunn, and Ella Richards to truly capture the area where equestrian get-ups meet high fashion.
Burberry has had a handful of it-bags in the past, such as the logocentric Pocket Bag, the TB bag, and the Olympia bag, and now the Lola is joining the impressive lineup – on a mechanical horse.
In the campaign created together with Torso Solutions, each of the bags and the models is captured on a fake horse, and it is all about a “surreal fantasy of image-making.”
“We imagined the Lola woman as the catalyst of the campaign, in which her natural momentum propels the kinetic movement seen in the film. She is in control of her image, exposing the mechanics of their production – and taking agency over the complex machinery of contemporary life,” said the studio.
“Lola, at the very core, embodies an attitude – she is strong, sensual, and intelligent all at once. An ode to strong women the world over,” said Creative Director Riccardo Tisci, adding that each of the campaign stars all represents exactly what he sees in the Lola woman – “Femininity at its most powerful.”
When it comes to the bag itself, it is available in a whopping 17 colors, including timeless classics such as white, black, beige, and brown, and are ideal for everyday wear – not just when riding horses (Although it probably works just as well then, to be fair).
Strap on your boots, and get your best horse girl outfit together, because the Lola bag is currently available both online as well as in-store at Burberry. Don’t say neigh, you’ll regret it!
