Tellaman Releases New Single, “Superstar” and Readies A New Upcoming Album
Talented South African vocalist Tellaman returns with a brand new single “Superstar”. The single is in preparation for the release of his new album that has been in the works. Off the success of his last released solo single in March 2021, in the form of “Overdue” that featured Sha Sha and Oxlade, as well as being placed on the Coming 2 America soundtrack, he returns with yet another scorcher that’s sure to be a staple in the summer playlists of days to come.
On “Superstar”, Tellaman continues his fruitful working relationship with the Select Play Music collective – of which he is part of, along with producer extraordinaire Lastee, which also produced “Overdue” and a host of other songs he’s on. Ahead of the official release of “Superstar”, Tellaman teased the record on his social media which prompted fans of the musician to call for the release of new music.
The composition of “Superstar” sees a synthesised drum intro, that proceeds to a beat break that spills into a moody, mid-tempo groove, that allows Tellaman’s vocals to fly through with a breezy feel. He highlights just how much he is used to the life of glitz and glam, beckoning his love interest to show him a bit more daring action, singing “I’m shining, shining, shining like jewellery, this is nothing new to me, got no time for foolery, show me, show me, show me something new baby, what else can you do baby?”
