Paris Saint-Germain’s 2021/22 Away Jersey Celebrates Its Home City
Ready to try and reclaim the Ligue 1 crown, Nike launch the Paris Saint-Germain 21/22 away shirt, which sees the Swoosh take its place on the Parisian’s alternate jersey, after the Jumpman stole top honours with the home shirt.
As was long rumoured, Jordan brand got promoted from supporting role to the main event when PSG launched their new home shirt for the 21/22 season, with the Jumpman taking the Swoosh’s position. But Nike are back in place for the away shirt, which sees a white base joined by black and pink hues, which take up position on the more visible Hechter centre stripe.
The shirt features a white base with pink and black split on the aforementioned Hechter stripe, as well as on the sleeve cuffs, with pink on the right and black on the left.
In designing for the future through their Move to Zero initiative, Nike have used recycled polyester made from plastic water bottles for the construction of the PSG away shirt, an approach the company has used to produce its football kits since 2010. Recycled polyester reduces carbon emissions by up to 30% compared to virgin polyester, helping to lessen the kits’ environmental impact.
Take a look at Paris Saint-Germain’s 2021/22 away kit in the gallery above. The first items from the collection are available now from the PSG and Nike web stores, with a wider lifestyle collection set to arrive on July 28.
