Nike Celebrates 75 Years of Atlético Madrid With 2021/22 Home Jersey
Nike has revealed the 2021/22 kit to be worn by Spanish champions Atlético Madrid. The design celebrates 75 years since the club changed its name to Atlético de Madrid in 1975, ushering in a golden age for the club in which it regularly challenged for the La Liga crown.
The kit worn by the renamed club featured a central white stripe, that is replicated on the 2021/22 design. Another feature is a large letter “A” created by the central red stripes, while Nike has also given the kit a paint splatter aesthetic, with hits of red arriving across the white stripes. The red and white jersey will be worn alongside navy blue shorts and blue and white striped socks. The kits are constructed from 100% recycled polyester fabric, made from recycled plastic bottles.
Atlético Madrid’s new home kit will be worn by the club throughout the 2021/22 season, and is available for Nike members via via the Nike web store and Atlético Madrid channels now. It will release globally on July 12.
